How Did Spider-Man Develop His Webbing?

Peter Parker,a normal kid in school,on his visit to OSCORP gets bitten by a Radioactive Spider.

When the venom enters his bloodstream,it alters his DNA to turn him into a wall crawling Human.His senses are heightened,his reflex increases tenfold,he has the ability to self-heal.He now uses these powers to protect the citizens of New York City,fight crime and many super villains along the way.

                                How Did He Develop His Webbing?

Spider-Man is mainly known because of his amazing ability to swing around with rope-like 'Webs' .These webs do not come out of holes in his wrists(like in Sam Raimi's adaptation),rather they are shot out of two devices called 'Web shooters'.Peter Parker spent hours creating a formula for his webs or web fluid.It's a liquid like substance which weaves into rope like webs upon contact with air.The tensile strength of his webs are said to be stronger than steel wire of the same diameter.

Spider-Man uses two twin devices which are located on his wrists which shoot streams of webbing fluid which quickly solidify on contact with air.The web shooters have replaceable cartridges containing webbing fluid,a wristlet which firmly grips his wrist.The Web Shooter is fired by a trigger which is above his wrist,on his palm which makes it easier for him to operate it.Spider-Man can also alter the shape and size of his webs by turning a knob on the spray nozzle of his shooters
to create webs according to his need,like Web shots,huge webs and much more.
Inside the nozzle is a turbine driven spinneret.The turbine creates a pressure,enough to compress the fluid and spin it into webs.Peter has also innovated many ways to use his webs,with hours of practice and perfecting his web fluid formula.

                                              Spider-Man's Webbing Fluid

The exact formula is not known of Spider-Man's web fluid(Nylon-like),but it is a formulated liquid called a shear -thinning liquid(a liquid whose viscosity decreases as stress upon it increases).As the fluid is exposed to air it weaves around it self into a very strong and elastic rope which can stick to almost any surface with un-imaginable grip,The adhesive properties of the webs decrease over exposure to air.
The molecular structure of a spider's web is like gum,Peter was inspired and tried to replicate this molecular bond,after a few attempts his fluid was ready.
The fluid is stored in a capsule like container called a cartridge,it stores the fluid in a high pressure system,upon ejection the fluid is shot out almost instantaneously within a distance of 100m.The cool thing about his webs is the fact that a single cartridge can store at least 700m of web within the small compartment of his cartridge.
Peter created the webbing fluid such that it would dissolve into a solid powder within an hour or two after use.

                           
                                    Alternate Realities And Spider-Man's Webs


In The Superior Spider-Man where Doctor Octavius took over Peter's body, Octavius improved the tensile strength and elasticity of Peter's webbing fluid upto the level where his webs became bullet proof.And in another alternate reality,Tony Stark improved Peter's Web Shooter design and made it highly sophisticated and technologically advanced.In another alternative realitiy,Peter was given new web shooters by Nick Fury which were very Hi-Tech.
